A native of Baltimore, Maryland and a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Producer/Songwriter/Musician Ted Hewitt produced Rodney Atkins' multi-platinum breakthrough album "If You’re Goin' Through Hell” which yielded four consecutive #1 singles and an ACM nomination for "Album of the year" ~ To date he has produced six #1s as well as 3 top 20 hits on Rodney. Ted also produced the first major label album on Canadian Artist Brett Kissell. Ted's project with Brett garnered 5 radio hits, as well as Juno nominations for "Album of the Year" &s; "Producer of the Year" and a Juno nomination and win for "Breakout Artist of the Year" in 2014. This same project received 5 CCMA nominations.
As a songwriter, Ted has had over forty major label cuts including "Wine Into Water" by T. Graham Brown, "Love Lessons" by Tracy Byrd, plus cuts by Waylon Jennings, Glen Campbell, Alabama, Kenny Rogers, Rodney Atkins, and Wynonna among others. An accomplished musician &s; vocalist, Ted has sung and/or played with Reba McIntire, Rodney Atkins, Vern Gosdin, Glen Campbell, and Craig Morgan to name a few. He is currently working with the new brother duo, The Van Lears, and a young artist from Louisiana, Matthew Ewing. He is producing a project with Heartlyn Rae, a New Female due from Arizona, and has worked with stone country singer Michael Thomas and recently produced an album for Sherry Lynn.
