What Sarah is looking for:

“In general, I look for great sync-friendly songs which include 1.) having a clear central theme that expresses a common emotion – for example: happy, sad, melancholy, energized, encouragement, etc., 2.) high-quality production with melodic dynamics and strong cinematic builds, and 3.) great vocals! Songs that are overly specific, contain storytelling, are too introspective, and break-up songs are not considered sync-friendly. Love songs are OK, but they should touch upon the actual feeling of love rather than a specific romantic love. Please don’t send me country or bluegrass songs as both genres have very limited opportunities in the film/tv world!”
